Willie Taggart


Willie Taggart is a head college football coach at the University of South Florida and a former college football player.

College football is American football played by teams of student athletes fielded by American universities, colleges, and military academies, or Canadian football played by teams of student athletes fielded by Canadian universities.

The University of South Florida, also known as USF, is an American metropolitan public research university located in Tampa, Florida, United States.


He took the position at USF in December 2012.


Taggart previously served as head coach at Western Kentucky University from 2009 to 2012, compiling a record of 16–20.

Western Kentucky is the western portion of the U.S. state of Kentucky.


He is the first African American head football coach at both institutions.
