Donato di Niccolò di Betto Bardi, better known as Donatello, was an Italian Renaissance sculptor from Florence.

The Renaissance was a period in European history, from the 14th to the 17th century, regarded as the cultural bridge between the Middle Ages and modern history.

Florence is the capital city of the Italian region of Tuscany and of the Metropolitan City of Florence.
